Fire Risk Assessor jailed for fire safety offences

July 12, 2011 12:01 pm

A Mansfield based Fire Risk Assessor has been jailed for eight months having been found guilty of two offences under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

John O’Rourke of Mansfield Fire Protection Services had originally undertaken the fire risk assessments to The Dial Hotel and Market Inn on behalf of the Hotel owner David Liu, but had failed to identify a number of very significant deficiencies.

As the appointed Fire Risk Assessor John O’Rourke was found guilty of failing to provide a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment.

This clearly highlights the importance of the selection and appointment process when choosing a suitable fire risk assessor to undertake a fire risk assessment on your behalf.

LWF can offer you the support and confidence with regard to undertaking fire risk assessments to your properties. LWF fire risk assessors have experience of many different types of properties, including Hotels, Historic properties, Residential properties, Care Homes, Factories, Warehouses or office premises.
